Welcome to Si Nian Memorial (the "Platform"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform. By registering or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

The Platform provides an online memorial service that allows users to:

• Create and manage online memorials for deceased loved ones
• Invite others to participate in remembrance
• Purchase "Heart" credits to offer premium tributes

2. Account

• A valid email address is required to register
• You are responsible for protecting your password; you remain responsible for all activity on your account
• Impersonating another person is strictly prohibited
• Users under 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian
• We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts (see Section 7)

3. User Content

For all content you upload (including photos, text, messages):

• You must have the lawful right to use it; it must not infringe copyright, portrait rights, or any other right
• It must not contain illegal, violent, sexual, defamatory, or insulting material
• It must not be used for commercial advertising, pyramid schemes, or fraud
• You grant the Platform the right to display, store, and back up your content, solely to provide the Platform's services

4. Prohibited Conduct

You shall not:

• Create fake or mocking memorials
• Use the Platform for marketing, advertising, or pyramid schemes
• Harass or abuse other users
• Attempt to hack, damage, or misuse the Platform
• Use bots or automation to bulk-operate the Platform
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or duplicate the Platform

5. Heart Credits and Payments

• "Heart" credits are a virtual unit usable only for premium tributes on the Platform
• Hearts cannot be transferred between accounts
• Once used, hearts are non-reversible
• Unused hearts are handled under our Refund Policy
• We reserve the right to adjust package prices from time to time

6. Intellectual Property

• The Platform's design, code, content, and trademarks are the property of [PLACEHOLDER - company name]
• You retain copyright in your uploaded content but grant the Platform a display licence

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that:

• Breach these Terms
• Receive multiple substantiated complaints

8. Disclaimer

• The Platform is provided as a technical tool for online remembrance, without guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free service
• We are not liable for losses caused by force majeure (server failure, network disruption, natural disaster)
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of content uploaded by users

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any loss shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to the Platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes should first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; if unresolved, they shall be submitted to the courts of Malaysia.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or website notice. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance.
